Before any medication is available to the general public, there is a meticulous clinical trial process that is required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). At Lawrence OB-GYN, we have an excellent research team that would guide a patient through the appropriate clinical study. These innovative clinical trials often offer potential treatments for many conditions before they are available for consumer use. Participants will receive free medication during the trial process and will also be compensated for time and travel.
We are currently recruiting participants for the following clinical trial studies:
Birth Control Research Study - PUT AWAY THE PILLS AND PUT ON AN INVESTIGATIONAL PATCH!
Eligible participants must:
- Be healthy women
- Be 18-45 years of age
- Have regular consistent menstrual cycles between 25 and 35 days
- Have no intention of becoming pregnant in the next 12 months
- Be sexually active
Oral Medication for Birth Control
Qualified participants that may be eligible for participation are females 18-40 years of age, sexually active, and have regular menstrual cycles. Clinical study trial includes investigational birth control for 13 months and a comprehensive physical exam with lab work.
Adolescent Healthy Female Bone Density Study
Healthy adolescent females age 12 to 18 will compare the effects of female hormones on Bone Mineral Density. Approximately three Dexa scans and other diagnostic procedures are required.
